Project 365: Day 1

I have wanted to do project 365 since I first heard about it a few years ago, but I just never got around to it or was never motivated enough to do it. Well I started today, and here is my first photo....

Unfortunately, this photo is off me doing one of my least favorite things to do, waiting for the bus!

grrrr, internet

Since Christmas Eve our Internet has been on a go slow, it has improved a little today however it still only dial up speeds.... and i starting to get a little frustrated with Internet and phone companies who blame each other for the issue and take no responsibility for anything. So even though i had big plans for blogging after Christmas it looks like that the world had different plans for me... Lol, this seams to be always the way. When you think that you know what you need the universe know what you really need... AND yes i need a break from the blog, from the Internet and most of all from FACEBOOK.... So what did i do on those days with little or no Internet, well apart from celebrating Christmas and working. I spent those quite moments with Daniel cuddling in  bed or on the couch, flying his helicopter with him (yes, and crashing it to the point we need spare parts so we can fly it again), a lot of thinking and working out what next year has to hold to me, CLEANING was a big thing, who knew a Christmas dinner for two could cause so so much mess, chasing cats around the house because they are getting into things they should not get into and just over all relaxing after a year that has been hectic, but over all a good one. Yes, there was bad moments and i hope next year is a better year for us but overall i have to say that I AM HAPPY, ALIVE AND I SURVIVED.

I have so much to share with you, over the next few days (if the Internet works that is), first i want to share my December daily and a few other mini album projects i am working on.
Secondly i want to share my goals for next year, which i am very excited about as well as a recent purchase that I made from ebay (which currently Piggie is sleeping on).
I have a two book reviews to share (I will probably post the first later today) and i will be starting up my mid week cooking feature again tomorrow with a new recipe from the fantastic recipe book my parents gave me from Christmas ( Nigella Lawson's Kitchen).

So until next time
love E

November Reviewed

Things were pretty quiet this month,
Daniel had a few week on call,
This meant Erin had loads of time on her own
They hired a carpet cleaner and clean the hall and lounge carpets
She wishes she took photos of it all
The microwave broke down
And they are yet to get another
Her little boy finally got taller than her big boy
But big boy is still a lot stronger
She is starting to make Christmas decoration
As well as plans for her xmas lunch with friends
They also went and saw the new Harry Potter movie for date night
Which they loved
But are sad they have to wait for so long for the last instalment.

Today

Today I feel so sore and tired all over, it partially because I have a cold which is cause general aches and pain but also because I am trying to keep to my 27 before 28 goal of exercising each day... okay so far this one has not been going well BUT I am trying, so today I did 30 mins of Yoga, followed by 20mins on the cross trainer, so it wasn't much but it was a start and after a few days the aches and pains will go away AND I will start to feel good about it..

So it seams like a year

So it seams like a year has past since I first moved to Sydney, and though I said to myself that I would update my blog at least once a week informing people what I had been up to it seams like I forgot. Mainly I guess due to the disappointment that not one of my friends managed to read what I wrote, was this due to the fact they don’t care about me or was it more along the lines that nobody has time for anything any more. It took my mother message to remind me that this blog even existent….

So I sat there thinking what should I do with it… should I continue to write about MY LIFE IN SYDNEY or could I put this idea to rest and just get on with my life. My decision did not come easy but I did finally reach one. I decided I would write I decided that it was more important to preserve my memories and it did not matter if anyone read it or not. At least I could say I was here and I did this. Why do I scrapbook if not for myself to remember what happen even if nobody else every sees my pages. So I guess the same could be said about this blog, writing to remember even if nobody ever reads it.

So what have I been up to since I first left Melbourne, apart from getting my house ready or the house that I pretend is Daniel and mine when in fact it is shared accommodation which relays heavily of everyone pulling there weight when in fact that it is only Daniel and myself who manage to do anything around here. L however even if this is the case we manage to live a pretty good life, we have the kitchen set up nicely and our bedroom is comfortable even if at times it doubles as a lounge, tv room and parlor but it comfortable. So our house is pretty good.

Daniel’s hand is improving even though we think his index tendon maybe ruptured and require more surgery but we will wait and see what happens next week (Friday the 19th of December) when we see the plastic surgeon. If he requires more surgery we will deal with it and work on getting his hand back to normal so he can go back to work. His sensation has improved our of sight and he is slowly been able to feel things again, even if cold things feel wet and my nails softly going across his skin feel like a nail is being hammed into his hand. The progression is slow but it is improving and that all that matters.

I am now working at a nursing home, the work is hard but rewarding it only been a few weeks so we will see how it goes. I have meant some really lovely people there which is good.

Not much else is happening really.

First Post From Sydney

It has been nearly three week since i left Melbourne and things are progressing nicely, our room is now set up and the house is slowly getting there.

We have bought an aloe plant form Bunnings the other day we name it Hugh after the street we live in. He sits on the kitchen window and has come in handy a lot because i keep burning my self when i am cooking. Daniel normally cooks but due to his hand he not able to.

i have applied for other jobs not only the one that is being organize for me as that will be mainly 12 hour shifts on the weekends, which will allow me to work another job during the week as well as go to university next year.

Daniel hand is slowly progressing he can now oppose his thumb to his little finger which he has not be able to do until recently. He also has a new split that he is to wear for five times a day for approxmentaly 10 mins that looks like some Bionic hand contraption. It is meant to be use to help strength his tendon so he will be able to make a fist eventually.

Not much else has been happening mainly we have been spending load of time at hospital and Doctors with Daniel's hand. i hope to put up some photos of where we are living and what we have been doing soon
